Professional Achievements

"Crossing East" 2004-2006 (Peabody award 2007)
- Eight one hour radio documentary of first Asians in America since the seventeenth century distributed by PRI, aired over 250 radio stations in 2006. Designed illustrations and graphic work for all marketing materials to newspapers, radio stations and public events. Outreach to Asian population for visual art workshops and public event at IRCO, Parkrose High School in Portland. Presented & promoted the series at conferences in St. Louise, LA and San Francisco.

Oregon Buddhist temple 100th Anniversary Celebration (2003)
- created murals with over 65 temple members. Designed, coordinated & published a 300 pages anniversary cookbook and a 75 pages memory book.

"storiesfirst.org" 2001-2002 (Clarion award 2003)
- Providing web graphic, CD labels & cover design for a monthly online juried submissions of independent stories on subject of loss & hope.

Oregon Historical Society's Folklife Program (1998)
- Researched and identified the need of immigrants to continue preserving their traditional art and craft in Portland. Designed art services special cater to new Immigrants in Oregon's Tri-county area. Funded by Oregon Arts Commission.

IRCO/INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE BANK, 1993 - 1995
ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE - Produced billing invoices to 400 clients each month. Updated accounts receivables daily, keeping accurate billing records of all written or oral translations. Approved payment to interpreters and prepared monthly journal for the main fiscal office. Screened clients service requests and assigned workload to translators. Personally reviewed and formatted translators finished work to ensure clients received accurate satisfying services in a timely manner. Designed and illustrated graphics for state program and commercial materials. Trained translaters in Adobe softwares both in Mac and Windows platform.

 - Slide presentation at Oregon Society of Art (2006), peace tea event at IFCC (2002), seminars at Portland Conventional Center (2001, 1998), Year long teachers-in-training at Binnsmead Middle School (1999, 2000, 2001)
